10,000 Calories in a day, how to manage it? Well firstly there is no way to replace all the calories burned in a day, I will need to rely on the energy stored in my body and fat and muscle, to make it through the Ironman. The number of calories I will take is around 3,000 if I'm lucky, through a combination of GU, Sports Drinks and various snacks I will need to carry.
